Event 4 – Antique Bronze

Date: 09/06/2026, Piraeus Theater, 17:00 - 20:00
The event brought together citizens, experts, youth organisations and local stakeholders to explore European Digital Policies and Artificial Intelligence and to discuss their impact on everyday life. A central part of the workshop consisted of activating interviews, during which participants alternated between the roles of interviewer and interviewee. This participatory methodology facilitated intergenerational dialogue and enabled the collection of qualitative insights into citizens' awareness, concerns and expectations regarding European Digital Policies and Artificial Intelligence. The activity highlighted issues related to trust, transparency, privacy, digital rights and the responsible use of AI, while demonstrating the value of experience-sharing and role-playing as tools for participatory policy discussions. As in the case of creative activities both partners engaged actively in explaining how the methodology works and by answering questions and by highlighting points that should be taken into consideration during the implementation phase. The event considerably increased participants' understanding of European Digital Policies and Artificial Intelligence while fostering critical thinking on the opportunities and challenges of digital transformation. Through interactive learning and dialogue, citizens became more aware of their digital rights and responsibilities and they got informed for the importance of data protection and the societal implications of AI. The participatory activities also generated valuable qualitative input regarding local perceptions and priorities, contributing to the project's objective of strengthening citizens' engagement with European policymaking.
