Event 1 – Eggshell

The event officially started with the participation of Member of the European Parliament Francesco Torselli, who opened the session together with the Mayor, Marzia Bassini. This institutional moment reinforced the connection between local participation and European-level governance. A thematic presentation on “Women and Migration”, delivered by Marko Zmirak and supported by visual materials, provided participants with a conceptual and policy-oriented framework, stimulating reflection and initial discussion. Participants were then divided into working groups in the public library. This phase represented the core participatory component of the event. Participants engaged in structured discussions, shared experiences, and reflected on key issues related to the topic. Each group worked collaboratively to identify relevant aspects and develop shared reflections, later presenting their conclusions to the plenary. This process fostered dialogue, mutual learning, and collective deliberation. The outcomes of the discussions were synthesised into key messages and short written statements, reflecting a collective co-creation process. Participants showed a preference for written expression rather than visual or artistic formats, highlighting the importance of structured verbalisation in this context.
